YSJ safety champion steps up

Guy Arseneault has been a dedicated member of the Saint John Airport team since June 2018.
In 2024, he moved from his role as a carpenter and firefighter to take on the new critical role of Safety and Emergency Response Supervisor.
In this leadership position, he oversees the firehall team and plays a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of airport operations.
His expertise is invaluable in developing standardized procedures, delivering comprehensive training programs, and maintaining compliance with Canadian aviation regulations.

“I enjoy working at YSJ. It has always been a special place for me, just 10 minutes away from where I grew up in Rothesay,” Guy says. “Learning how the aviation world works, becoming a certified aircraft firefighter and continuing to grow and learn every day have always made YSJ an interesting place to be involved in.”
His commitment to safety, leadership, and continuous improvement helps ensure that the airport’s emergency response team operates at the highest level.
