Momentum continues to build at Saint John Airport – and nowhere was that clearer than at the Defence, Security and Aerospace Exhibition Atlantic, one of Canada’s premier defence, security and aerospace trade shows, held recently in Halifax.
Representing our region on the national stage, Saint John Airport joined Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency at the event, showcasing the region’s unique strengths – from our deep-water port and energy assets to our connected transportation network, prime airside land and skilled workforce. We connected with other New Brunswick organizations, including Opportunities NB and provincial post-secondary institutions and explored how we can support one another.
With delegates from dozens of countries and more than 2,300 attendees, the event underscored the scale of opportunity that exists not only in national defence but across the broader supply chain that supports it. For Saint John, it was a chance to demonstrate how our region’s assets align with emerging aerospace and logistics growth – and how collaboration is central to realizing that potential.
Events such as the Defence, Security and Aerospace Exhibition Atlantic reflect the vision at the heart of Saint John Airport’s five-year strategic plan – growing passenger volumes, advancing land development and partnerships, and demonstrating leadership through safety, sustainability and operational excellence. By pooling resources and presenting ourselves as a unified region, we amplify our collective strengths and tell a stronger story to the world.
It’s a story of confidence, collaboration and opportunity – and one that positions southwestern New Brunswick for continued takeoff.
