Not here. Not anywhere. YSJ Stands with #NotInMyCity

Saint John Airport is proud to join forces with #NotInMyCity, becoming a transportation ally in the fight against human trafficking and exploitation.

Human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes in Canada. Shockingly, 72 per cent of reported victims are under the age of 25, and 93 per cent are Canadians trafficked within our own borders. These crimes are often hidden, with victims silenced by fear, manipulation, and threats.

That’s why YSJ has taken action. Our security team, airport authority staff, and airline partners have all completed training through #NotInMyCity, equipping them to recognize the signs of trafficking and know how to respond.

Travel hubs like airports can be critical points for identifying and preventing exploitation. By standing alongside #NotInMyCity, we’re helping to prevent, disrupt, and end human trafficking.

As a visible reminder of our commitment, yellow rose decals – the symbol of #NotInMyCity – will be placed throughout the terminal. These decals provide information on how to report suspicious activity and show survivors that allies are here, watching, and ready to help.

Founded by Canadian country music artist Paul Brandt in 2017, #NotInMyCity works across Canada to raise awareness and build alliances to end exploitation. At YSJ, we are proud to play our part. Watch for the yellow rose next time you travel and learn more at notinmycity.ca.
