On Nov. 17, we began work on installing a brand-new,
longer baggage belt in our domestic arrivals area – a project designed to enhance comfort, efficiency, and the overall passenger experience at Saint John Airport.
This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the passenger journey from the moment you arrive.
A longer belt means a smoother luggage pickup. It allows more luggage to circulate at once, helping to prevent pile-ups and reduce crowding. With more space for bags to flow continuously from the sorting area, passengers will see faster delivery times – from the first bag to the last.
Just as important, this new system increases our overall baggage handling capacity, ensuring we’re well prepared to manage larger aircraft and more passengers as we continue to grow our air service offerings.
While the work is underway over approximately two weeks, passengers will temporarily collect their bags at the baggage belt in the customs hall at the terminal. The construction area will be safely closed off.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we make these important improvements.
