At the Saint John Airport, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond carbon reduction targets. While we are actively working toward goals aligned with the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act, we are equally mindful of the physical environment on the airport grounds.

To mark Earth Day last month, members of the airport security team and airport staff rolled up their sleeves and took part in a clean-up of our grounds and surrounding property.

These efforts not only make the airport more welcoming and pleasant for passengers, but they also play a critical role in maintaining airfield safety. Windblown litter can pose hazards to aircraft operations, so keeping our property clean is about more than appearance – it’s about operational excellence.

We're grateful to all team members who take pride in the airport and contribute to a cleaner, safer space for everyone. Their dedication reflects the values we uphold as we strive to be both environmentally responsible and community focused.

Whether through daily habits or special initiatives like this one, every action counts. Together, we’re keeping YSJ clean, safe, and ready to welcome the world.
